Presented, choreographed and filmed by a Hong Kong contemporary dance company, DANCE Kho, “The Quiet Man” captures the parallels between stillness and movement.

It invites audiences to view the grinding culture of working life in Hong Kong through the eyes of a still statue. The contrast between the dancers and the statue allows the audience to appreciate moments of stillness, and encourages them to be aware of their physical surroundings. The message is open to interpretation but hopes to inspire people to appreciate their health and well-being, relationships and family, and the community that they are a part of.
